Finding Skipton

By road from the North - head down the M6 as if you where going to Kendal then begin following signs for (A65) Kirkby Lonsdale, after passing through Kirkby Lonsdale continue on the A65 you will soon start to see signs for Skipton, taking you through Ingleton and along the A65 by-passing Settle, until you approach a roundabout just before a railway bridge, at the roundabout take the second exit signed (A65) Skipton, continue on the A65 taking you through Long Preston, Hellifield, Coniston Cold, and Gargrave, after passing through Gargrave you will soon approach a roundabout, at the roundabout take the second exit (near Little Chef / Burger King) signed Skipton, after leaving the roundabout at this exit you will join Gargrave Road, continue along Gargrave Road, you will soon approach a mini-roundabout, at the mini-roundabout take the second exit (going straight ahead), continue along Gargrave Road and you will soon approach a second mini-roundabout near the Commercial Inn pub (on your left), at this mini-roundabout you can either take the first exit (going straight ahead onto Water Street) to reach Skipton Town Centre and High Street - by following Water Street until reaching a T-junction at which you should turn right to take you towards to the Church and then Skipton High Street - or take the second exit to access Coach Street Car Park - by following Coach Street until the One Way restriction then take the first right into the car park.

By road from the South - from Bradford take the A650 through Bingley before joining the A629 at Keighley, follow the A629 until Kildwick where you will approach a roundabout, take the third exit signed Skipton, stay on the A629, soon you will approach a roundabout, at the roundabout take the second exit signed Skipton, continue along the road and you will soon approach another roundabout, at the roundabout take the second exit signed Skipton Town Centre, after leaving the roundabout you will join Keighley Road passing a Mercedes Benz garage followed by the Rendezvous Hotel on your right, shortly after passing the Snaygill Arms pub (on your right) you will approach a mini-roundabout, at the mini-roundabout take the second exit (going straight ahead), continue along Keighley Road, shortly after passing a set of traffic lights you will approach a junction just before a pedestrian crossing, at the junction you can either continue along Keighley Road - which will take you to Skipton Town Centre and High Street - or turn left to access the Cavendish Street Car Park - by taking Craven Street, passing the entrance for Tescos (on your left) and joining Cavendish Street, continue along Cavendish Street, you will soon approach Goa Spice restaurant on your right, the entrance to the Cavendish Street Car Park is on your right shortly after passing Goa Spice.

By rail - Skipton has its own railway station and can be reached by links such as Bingley, Bradford, Keighley, Leeds and Settle.

By air - Manchester International Airport is approx. 59.1 miles away, and Leeds-Bradford International Airport is approx. 15.7 miles away.
